Pump Generator Package for Multi National Mining Company

Generator Rental NZ recently delivered a specialised pump generator solution for a major multi national mining company operating in the Australian iron ore region. The project required multiple generator units engineered to perform reliably in one of the harshest working environments in the world.
Operating conditions in the iron ore region regularly exceed 50 degrees ambient temperature, with heavy airborne dust and extreme mechanical loads. To meet these demands, the generator package was designed for 55 degree ambient operation and fitted with 60 degree cooling packs to ensure stable performance under sustained high load conditions.
Built for Extreme Heat and Dust
Each unit was equipped with advanced filtration systems and dust mitigation filters to protect critical components from fine particulate contamination. High volume cooling systems were integrated to maintain optimal operating temperatures, supported by additional oil coolers to manage thermal stress during extended run cycles.
This robust configuration ensures dependable output, reduced wear, and improved service intervals, even in remote mining environments where downtime is costly.
Delivery, Commissioning and Training
Generator Rental NZ managed the full delivery process to site, coordinating logistics to ensure timely deployment across the mining operation. Our team carried out on site commissioning to verify system performance under load and confirm compliance with operational requirements.
Comprehensive operator training was also provided to the client’s technical team. This included system familiarisation, routine maintenance procedures, and best practice operational guidance to maximise reliability and longevity in extreme ambient conditions.
This project highlights Generator Rental NZ’s capability to design, supply, and commission high performance generator solutions tailored specifically for demanding industrial environments.
